About 20 kilometres northeast of Jaldhaka Upazila headquarters is a mound known as Raja Harishchandra Pat or Dhap. Local tradition says that a king named Harishchandra ruled here. Several large stones remain as signs of antiquity, and historians believe archaeological structures may lie beneath the earthen mound.
