About
Nilsagar is a large historic pond in Gorgram Union of Nilphamari Sadar Upazila. Tradition holds that King Birat excavated it several centuries ago. Covering 53.90 acres, its banks support forest, fruit and medicinal trees. Many migratory birds arrive in winter, attracting visitors for birdwatching and recreation.
